What is a micro teach session?
Micro–teaching is about delivering a short session, usually to your peer group (in person or online). It’s the opportunity to demonstrate your skills, knowledge and understanding either in the subject you will teach, or a topic of your choice.
What are the types of micro teaching?
Knowledge acquisition, skill acquisition, and transfer are the three different phases of microteaching. [23] Figure 1 describes the various phases of microteaching.
How do you conduct micro teaching?
How to prepare yourself for a micro teaching session
- Prepare your lesson plan beforehand.
- Define your students yourself. Everything in the micro–teaching is a role play.
- Always have an ace up your sleeve. Every teacher, experienced or not, knows we must have a plan B.
- Last but not least: don’t wear a mask, be the teacher you are every day in class. Be yourself.
