Condola Rashad parents are Phylicia Rashad and Ahmad Rashad. Condola father and mother divorced in early 2001.
Her mother, Phylicia, is an American actress, singer, and director known for her role as Clair Huxtable on the NBC show The Cosby Show. She earned her Emmy Award nomination for her role in the series.
She was also awarded as The Mother of the Black* Community in the 2010 NAACP Image Awards. She served as a dream of the College of Fine Arts at Howard University.
Her father, Ahmad, is an American sportscaster and former professional football player for St. Louis Cardinals. He started his football career at the University of Oregon, playing for Oregon Ducks.
After playing for the Cardinals for two seasons, he was traded for Buffalo Bills in 1974. After his leg injury, he was signed by Seattle Seahawks in 1976. Shortly after that, he moved to Minnesota Vikings, where he earned four Pro Bowl selections.
After retiring from football, the former football player worked as a studio analyst and game reporter for several sports channels.
The couple Phylicia and Ahmad met each other while both were working on The Cosby Show. The reporter proposed to the actress in 1985 on national television during the pregame show. It was the third marriage for both of them.
