Kenneth Eugene Boles passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at his home. He was 89.
Ken was born on January 2, 1933 in Milton, Florida to the late BB and Catherine Boles. He was the fourth of six boys, four preceded him in death.
Boles served in the Army, attaining the rank of sergeant, during the Korean war and was stationed in Germany.
He was a general contractor for many years in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.
Boles also served in the House of Representatives for the Fifth District from 1978 to 1982. In the latter years of his life, he worked for the State of Florida in Tallahassee.
He was a life-long Florida State Seminole.
He was active in the Masons and Shriners for most of his life and obtained a 50-year pin.
Ken was also a member of the Krewe of Bowlegs in Ft. Walton Beach for several years in the 1970s and 80s.
He is survived by his four daughters, Kenda Blanche (Tim) Baxter; Kaylyn Elizabeth (Blair) Minnix; Gwendolyn Elise Rolling; Katherine Joyce Walmer; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his son, Kenneth (Christa) Schedl.
A brief ceremony will be held at the Tallahassee National Cemetery where he will be interred as an honorable Veteran at a later date, Bevis Funeral Home – Tallahassee announced on August 11, 2022.
