To that end, Graham stopped eating fatty foods and began to exercise regularly. He started jogging in September, and by November’s end, he had run his first 5K.
The surgery he went through is called a sleeve gastrectomy. It is an hour-long procedure, where the doctor removes exactly 80 percent of one’s stomach and eventually makes the stomach the size of a sleeve-shaped banana.
The professional chef has maintained his weight since then.
