Rachael Leahcar Biography
Rachael Leahcar born Rachael Wendy Bartholomew, is an Australian singer and songwriter. She was raised in Adelaide, South Australia. She participated on the first season of The Voice Australia, coming in third place. Shortly after, she signed a record deal with Universal Music Australia. Her debut album Shooting Star, which contained songs she performed on The Voice, as well as newly recorded covers, was released on 13 July 2012. The album debuted at number five on the ARIA Albums Chart.
After her appearance on the first season of The Voice Australia where she captivated audiences with her stellar performances and ‘thick, creamy’ vocals, she has continued to excel in music; securing a record deal with Universal Music, singing with Andrea Bocelli’s orchestra in Italy, releasing three top 10 albums and touring a cabaret show about her life. Losing 90% of her sight has never stopped her from achieving her vision.
At age twelve she entered the South Australian Public Primary Schools choir and made the finals of Fellini’s Search for a Star competition.
