Rod Parsley Ministry

After conducting a Bible study in the backyard of his parents while still a college student, Rod founded his church in 1977. The first meeting was attended by 17 people. Soon they decided to turn the study group of the Bible into a church. It was originally called the Sunset Chapel, and later the Life Church Word.

The first permanent building of the church was built in 1979. This is now called Alpha Hall, one of four buildings on what has been Valor Christian College’s campus for many years. Growth soon required that building to be added, and several years later the church built a larger structure adjacent to Alpha Hall, now known as Dominion Hall.

The ground was broken on 57 acres in 1986 to start what is now Canal Winchester’s main campus of the church. It was renamed World Harvest Church when it was dedicated in honor of Lester Sumrall, who had friended Parsley years earlier and became the mentor of the younger pastor.

World Harvest Church Columbus now includes a sanctuary for 5,200 seats, ministries for children and youth, connecting centers and administrative offices. Harvest Preparatory School, a private Christian school serving pre-school students through grade 12, and Valor Christian College also operate on the grounds of the church. Approximately 10,000 people attend weekly World Harvest services.

World Harvest added Elkhart’s satellite campus in 2013. That church is located near the South Bend church of Christian Center, the church founded by the mentor of Parsley, Sumrall.

No secular state ever existed and none would exist until the end of the French Revolution, and so we understand that America was built on the Judeo-Christian ethic and we believe that this nominee is going to see to it that those truths are upheld.

It was the courts, of course, that took away prayer from our schools, that took away Bible reading from our schools. It’s the courts that gave us same-sex marriage. So it is quite a battlefield, and the Supreme Court is the highest court in the land.

You know, there are only about 10 people in the United States that have ever argued 25 cases before the Supreme Court, this man has won 25 cases before the Supreme Court. He’s an overwhelming choice.

This is a man who graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University in three years, editor of the Harvard Law Review, argued 39 cases before the Supreme Court. Rod Parsley

He has selected from a group of overwhelming candidates. This candidate was nominated to the Supreme Court because of his extremely overwhelming qualifications.

We know that this man has a proven record of being a ‘strict constructionist.’ Our President has given us his word that he will interpret the Constitution rather than make new laws from the bench.
