What Is Brad Stevens Doing Now?

NBA executive, Brad Stevens, currently serves as president of basketball operations for the Boston Celtics.

Born and raised in Zionsville, Indiana, Stevens has served as coach to the team at Butler University and the Boston Celtics.

Brad Stevens Career

Stevens was an exceptional player for the basketball team at Zionsville Community High School, breaking four school records.

He went to DePauw University after high school, where he played basketball and was consistently named to the all-conference team.

The three-time Academic All-America nominee switched to coaching and volunteered for Butler University’s basketball team before the 2000–01 season.

The following season, Stevens was made an assistant coach. He served in that capacity for five seasons before becoming head coach in 2007.

In 2013, after agreeing to a six-year, $22 million contract, he was named head coach of the NBA’s Boston Celtics.

From 2014 through 2021, Stevens guided the Celtics to every NBA playoff appearance, helped the team win a division title, and made three appearances in the Eastern Conference Finals.

In 2021, Stevens was appointed the Celtics’ president of basketball operations.
