Patricia Owens Husband And Daughters
Patricia Owens’s husband was Yaser Abdel Said, whom she filed for divorce in 2009. The couple married in February 1987 when the bridegroom was 30 while the bride was 15.
Her husband was an Egyptian-American former taxi driver who shot and killed their two daughters, Amina and Sarah, inside his cab near Omni Las Colinas Hotel on 1 January 2008. People widely believe that the incident was an example of honor killing.
After 12 years on the run, of which he spent six on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, the law enforcement arrested him on 26 August 2020 from Justin, Texas. Further, his son, Islam, and brother, Yassein, got arrested for aiding a fugitive in Euless, Texas.

Patricia’s husband felt that his daughters dishonored the family as they refused to follow Islamic cultural behavior. However, reports suggest that he abused his daughters sexually and physically.
After the capture, the judge indicted Yaser on capital murder charges, eligible for the death penalty.
As for his son, he pleaded guilty on 19 January 2021 and on 27 April got ten years prison imprisonment sentence. The charges were harboring a fugitive, conspiring to harbor a criminal, and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice.
Likewise, the prosecutor found his brother guilty of conspiracy and harboring a fugitive on 4 February 2021. And on 4 June, he received a sentence of 12 years in federal prison.
